Spottworks, Inc. was a pioneer in interactive entertainment.

Funded by Intel Corporation and Phoenix Venture Partners in 1996, the company built the ground breaking web site Musicosm.com.

This site combined elements of what we today call interactive television, virtual communities, e-commerce, and a ground-breaking metaphor-based interface design to create a precedent-setting online experience. 

The virtual world created by Scott Fedewa and the Spottworks team was meant to serve as a wake-up call to the music industry, demonstrating how the newly arrived Web could be used for innovative, multidisciplinary entertainment and promotions.  Unfortunately the integration of interactive content, community,

and e-commerce was far ahead of its time (and ahead of the audience, the penetration of broadband, and most certainly the music and television industrys' willingness to take the Internet seriously!).
